Role overview
We are looking for an exceptional Group Financial Controller to join our Finance leadership team and lead financial control across our international, multi-entity organization.
Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for Group reporting and consolidation, financial control, technical accounting, statutory compliance, audit, tax and treasury oversight, and the continued development of our finance systems and processes.
Operating across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies, the successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and analytical capability. They will ensure the integrity of our financial reporting and control environment while continually improving the speed, quality and accessibility of financial information across the Group.
A key part of the role will be building a modern, scalable and data-driven finance function, using technology, automation and AI to simplify processes, strengthen controls and deliver increasingly valuable financial insight.
What you'll do
• Group reporting & consolidation: Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual Group close and consolidation across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies, including intercompany accounting and eliminations, foreign currency translation and consolidation adjustments.
• Financial control & technical accounting: Maintain a high-quality control environment, ensuring balance-sheet integrity and consistent application of Group accounting policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Close excellence: Continually improve the month-end close, increasing speed, standardisation and automation while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and control.
• Financial insight: Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight, identifying the key drivers, trends, risks and opportunities behind the numbers.
• Statutory, audit & compliance: Own Group statutory reporting and finance-related compliance across our international footprint and lead relationships with external auditors and professional advisers.
• Tax & treasury governance: Maintain appropriate oversight of tax compliance, transfer pricing, cash, liquidity, banking, intercompany funding and foreign exchange, working with specialist advisers where appropriate.
• Finance transformation: Champion continuous improvement across Finance, using systems, automation, AI and better data to simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary manual activity and improve operating efficiency.
• Systems & data: Drive effective use and continued development of our ERP, consolidation and reporting environment, ensuring high-quality financial data and scalable processes.
• Leadership: Lead and develop the Group financial control function, setting high standards for ownership, accuracy, pace, collaboration and continuous improvement.
