Role overview
We are seeking a versatile, enthusiastic, and dynamic IT Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be dedicated to managing projects throughout their life cycle, from inception to deployment, including operational readiness. You will navigate the challenges associated with a wide range of projects, across multiple geographies and workstreams, and ensure their delivery aligns with business objectives.
* This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work from the office 3 days per week.
What you'll do
Take ownership of strategically important projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Programme Management function to establish overall plans, milestones, and timelines.
Capture, track, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions in an organised manner.
Coordinate with teams to establish project plans and manage cross-project dependencies effectively.
Build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.
Present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor colleagues by sharing knowledge and experiences to support team development.
Promote project management best practices and identify opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
Oversee budgetary accountability, ensure all programmes are fully costed, track costs against budget & raise any variances to budget
Facilitate project decision-making processes by providing structured information and recommendations to stakeholders.
Encourage a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement among project teams.
Navigate and resolve project challenges and complexities through critical thinking and structured problem-solving approaches.
Ensure project alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives, contributing to organisational success.
What we're looking for
Essential for role:
At least 2 years' experience of managing complex multiple IT projects, focusing on IT infrastructure and Cloud, exposure to Product Management & engineering teams.
Strong communication skills, with advanced proficiency in English (written, spoken, and presentation).
Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating credibility, persuasiveness, and the ability to influence.
Ability to handle confidential information with outstanding judgment and discretion.
Quick learner, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ideal for role:
Professional PM Certification/Qualification, such as PMP, Prince 2, Agile Scrum Master, etc.
3 years plus project management, including experience in data centre environments, data centre build and expansion projects, and cloud projects.
