Role overview
As a senior commercial leader, you will shape and execute our commercial strategy across data-centre and cloud solutions, accelerating our growth in one of the company’s most strategic regions.
You’ll combine hands-on business development with high-level commercial leadership: building trusted relationships with enterprise customers, partners and regulators; driving disciplined revenue growth; and ensuring every deal aligns with Ilkari’s standards of profitability, compliance and excellence.
You will lead a high-impact team responsible for direct sales, channel partnerships and technical presales, working cross-functionally with Product Development, Data Centre Operations, Finance, Legal and Marketing to bring competitive and reliable offers to market.
What you'll do
- Shape, adjust and operationalise Ilkari’s commercial plan for data centre and cloud services in alignment with global strategy.
- Drive new business development across enterprise, government and channel partners throughout LATAM.
- Own commercial governance for the region, including pricing, margins, contracts and forecasting.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering accountability, pace and collaboration.
- Strengthen Ilkari’s market presence and brand reputation through strategic partnerships and industry engagement (in coordination with Marketing and Product).
- Align closely with the Head of Data Centre (Colombia) on pipeline, delivery capacity, customer success, as well as any necessary or preferable market entry logistics within the Tocancipá Free Trade Zone.
- Ensure all commercial activity meets regulatory, contractual and compliance standards.
- Contribute to enterprise-level decisions on pricing models, market entry, investment priorities within the region.
What are we looking for
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate studies preferred, or demonstrated advanced commercial mindset through proven strategic and financial leadership.
- 10+ years’ senior commercial experience in data centre, cloud or telecom environments, ideally with cross-border exposure.
- Proven track record in securing and growing enterprise accounts and building strategic partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the Colombian market, regulatory landscape and business culture.
- Fluency in Spanish and English; comfortable working in multicultural and matrix environments.
- Strong financial and contractual acumen with experience making P&L-adjacent decisions.
- Values-driven leadership: humble, accountable, growth-oriented and collaborative.
