Role overview
The DC Technical Operations Manager is responsible for technical operational of the data center facilities within a defined geographic region. This leadership role ensures the reliability, scalability, and compliance of physical infrastructure and mission-critical systems across sites. The position drives the execution of regional operational strategies, leads cross-site technical teams, and ensures alignment with global standards and business objectives.
This role serves as the escalation point for high-impact incidents, oversees vendor and partner relationships, and champions continuous improvement in performance, sustainability and risk mitigation.
The role also collaborates with engineering, sales, projects, procurement, leadership area, enterprise IT teams to support infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity planning, and regional project execution.
What you'll do
- Operational and technical leadership with strategic influence across data centre activities.
 - Establish and enforce procedures to maintain high standards of operational quality, reliability, and safety in line with company requirements.
 - Drive quality improvements and initiatives across the organisation, ensuring compliance with up-time SLAs service and operational KPIs.
 - Drive innovation, automation and process standardization in the data centre.
 - Manage the day-to-day functions of the Development/Internal Data Centre, and out-of-hours teams.
 - Oversee Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) responsibilities and coordination with external maintenance providers.
 - Liaise with functional groups and departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
 - Manage budget activities and procurement in alignment with company policies.
 - Maintain up-to-date documentation and certification to industry standards, including TIA 942 and ISO 9001/27001.
 - Act as the senior liaison with external parties, including customers and suppliers, to ensure service and procurement requirements are met.
 - Represent the management team as required or in their absence.
 - Build and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
 - Ensure the data centre is maintained to a high standard for customer visits and operations.
 - Produce and manage reports for senior management as requested.
 - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire prevention and first aid.
 - Manage the security of the site, ensuring all procedures are in place and followed.

 - College degree in a relevant technical field or significant industry experience.
 - 5-10 years of technical experience, with at least five years in an operational management role.
