Role overview
Okens Domains – An Ilkari Company is looking for a driven, adaptable, and tech-savvy Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base while identifying new business opportunities. This role is central to our commercial success and requires proactive engagement with prospects and clients, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a readiness to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in driving revenue by managing inbound and outbound leads, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to strategic sales initiatives. With a focus initially on domain registration services, the role offers the opportunity to expand into web hosting, cloud services, and colocation as the business grows.
Success in this role demands initiative, accountability, and the ability to work fluidly across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Technical Support teams.
What you'll do
Customer Success & Account Management
- Provide responsive daily support to existing customers, addressing issues, requests, and general inquiries.
- Manage domain-related services, including registrations, transfers, record updates, and value-added service orders.
- Conduct regular outreach to inform customers of service updates, gather feedback, and offer tailored solutions.
- Proactively identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase account value.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to manage customer debt handling and ensure timely resolution.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through trust, accountability, and consistent communication.
New Business Development
- Participate in industry events to expand professional network and represent the company; conduct timely follow-up on post-event leads.
- Execute outbound customer acquisition activities, including digital outreach via LinkedIn, email campaigns, and other channels.
- Conduct initial qualification of inbound and outbound leads, ensuring prompt and accurate CRM entry.
- Collaborate with the DBM and Marketing teams to assign, escalate, and track the progress of leads.
- Marketing Collaboration
- Monitor and respond to incoming leads generated from marketing campaigns, web forms, and promotions.
- Maintain clear communication with the Marketing team regarding lead status and conversion metrics.
- Support marketing-driven initiatives such as workshops, campaigns, and sales enablement activities.
Commercial Operations
- Maintain high standards of CRM hygiene by ensuring accurate data entry, timely pipeline updates, and coordinated follow-ups.
- Align with Sales and Support teams to ensure smooth workflows and consistent customer experience.
- Distribute and utilize sales collateral to support product and marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in internal sales processes, tools, and operational efficiency.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), including both outbound prospecting and inbound lead conversion.
Other Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required to attend and represent the company at industry events, conferences, or client meetings.
What are we looking for
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or inside sales, preferably in domain registration or related technology sectors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently.
- Proficient in strategic thinking and results-oriented practices.
- Demonstrated responsibility, open-mindedness, and a solution-focused mindset.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, digital outreach tools (e.g., LinkedIn, email campaigns), and general sales enablement platforms.
- Understanding of domain-related products and services; familiarity with cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure is beneficial.
