Role overview

At ILKARI, we believe innovation thrives when teams are diverse, empowered, and purpose-driven. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Domain Name Management portfolio. This role sits within our Product organisation and is central to shaping the future of our domain registration, DNS, and lifecycle management services.

You’ll have the autonomy to drive strategic decisions, influence roadmap delivery, and foster collaboration across technical and business teams. What you'll do.

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for our domain services, aligned with company objectives and evolving market needs.

• Oversee the full product lifecycle – from discovery to delivery, optimisation, and phase-out.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, legal, compliance, support, and sales to ensure high service reliability and customer satisfaction.

• Conduct competitive analysis, monitor TLD trends, and translate customer insights into product enhancements.

• Shape pricing strategies in partnership with the Commercial team, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

• Ensure full compliance with ICANN regulations, GDPR, and registrar/registry agreements.

• Drive innovation in areas like domain lifecycle automation, DNSSEC security, and adjacent services integration (e.g., hosting, SSL, email).

• Represent ILKARI at industry events and contribute to thought leadership in domain services.

What are we looking for

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of domain registration ecosystems, DNS, WHOIS/RDAP, EPP, and global compliance frameworks.

• Experience managing registrar and registry partnerships.

• Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and backend systems that power scalable, reliable services.

• Ability to engage in technical discussions and align with engineering goals.

Soft Skills

• Strong communicator who can connect technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strategic mindset with a bias for execution and data-driven decisions.

• Natural collaborator who thrives in matrix environments.

• Organised, detail-focused, and outcomes-driven.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years in product management, with at least 3 years in the domain name or internet infrastructure industry.

• Background working with ICANN, domain resellers, or international registries is highly valued.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or a related discipline.

• A Master’s degree is a plus.
